Speculative scenarios centred around particular selective pressures are strongly discouraged; instead, we encourage presentations discussing latest relevant empirical findings, basic methodological issues, constraints on scenarios, identifying stages, synthesising recent findings from a relevant field (e.g. major points of consensus/controversy), etc.

Please note that diachronic language change (within the historical timescale) is normally considered to fall outside the thematic scope of language evolution. Papers representing this area of study will be accepted only if relevance to the phylogenetic perspective can be clearly established.

Accepted submissions will be published in the form of an e-book included in the conference pack.
The talks will have the format of 20 minutes of presentation + 10 minutes for discussion.
Selected papers will be placed in the proceedings, which will be published by an international publishing house.
